Personalized Success Plan
During the early sessions, we will assess the student’s skills and review school materials to make sure we have everything we need to make a difference. We will also discuss your goals and the student’s learning history. After the first 2-3 sessions , we will deliver a customized report with measurable and attainable goals, and details on what it will take to achieve these goals.
Always 1:1.
We will generally schedule 1-3 weekly sessions for the same days and times each week. Plans can be customized and recommendations will be made as part of the Personalized Success Plan.
Emergency 30-minute same day sessions
Students can schedule a number of emergency 30-minute same day sessions as needed throughout each month.
Our entire team is dedicated to achieving your learning and grade goals. Our incredible tutors are subject experts. Every My Math Expert is a certified math teacher or college professor, with specialties ranging from Grades 1 – College. We will always connect you with the best tutor for you and your class. Most importantly, we will then provide ongoing support and accountability for your dedicated tutor – including 1:1 weekly or semi-monthly meetings between the Director/Assistant Director and each tutor. In these meetings, we will discuss the progress of each and every student, and offer support and suggestions, and discuss ways that we can help to optimize instruction and coordinate with families as needed, to achieve the goals in the Personalized Success Plan.
School and Curriculum Integration
We will also coordinate with your teacher and school administrators to include their input and school performance goals in our Personalized Success Plan, when desired. We can also monitor grades and include accountability methods for each student. We focus on outcomes so we will work on school materials as much as possible and will coordinate to get school textbooks and assignments and will share those materials with your dedicated tutor and our entire team.
Your tutor will write regular updates – at least one per semester – to keep you posted on the progress made on the long-term goals that we set as part of the Personalized Success Plan. In this update, your tutor will add goals as others are achieved. The Director and Assistant Director will review these updates during the regular tutor meetings, and will send the regular updates to you after we’ve all added our input. These regular updates will be available to every member of our team to keep us all committed to the same shared goals.
Your My Math Experts User Account
We have created an easy way to manage your calendar and book and adjust your sessions. You can do all this through the intuitive user account. This is also where you can update billing information, review your invoices, and provide updates for any other personal information.
Our Director personally reviews every Personalized Success Plan and regular update, oversees all instruction and coaches every tutor through challenges. More importantly, the Director and Assistant Director offer support and encouragement to our team and proactively coordinate resources, communication, scheduling and support for our families and tutors. It is during our regular tutor meetings where the MME magic really happens – the regular support and collaboration between our passionate educators is what makes us truly different and the best in the business. Progress updates and family meetings with the Director or Assistant Director are available at any time, as well.

How do we achieve student goals?
State of the art Online Lesson Space
Students will work with their dedicated tutor in the Online Lesson Space. This incredible tool includes videoconferencing and a shared whiteboard, where materials can be uploaded and both student and tutor can write and show their work. Math specific tools like graphing tools, calculators, equation editors and much more are also included. The best feature is that students will have a dedicated Online Lesson Space with their main tutor and all notes will remain there. Students can revisit their Online Lesson Space at any time to review these materials and use the Space as a study aid. Screensharing is also available for students and tutors, allowing us to access online course materials, and maybe more importantly, all of the amazing math education resources the internet has to offer.
Support and Encouragement
All students are supported by the Director and our whole team as needed. Every My Math Expert is part of your personal team and committed to our shared goals. We offer on demand support and emergency same day sessions.
Accountability
The first 5 minutes of each session can be spent reviewing student school performance and grades. Parents can share school grade book logins – this is optional but encouraged. We can then check in on homework completion and student progress from last session. The last 5 minutes of each session can be spent on making recommendations for what to practice and this is when we will confirm future sessions and plan ahead for upcoming exams.
Incredible Communication and Transparency
We use thorough reporting and progress tracking on our internal communication platform and session summaries are emailed after each session. The Personalized Success Plan and Regular Updates keep the entire My Math Experts team on the same page with students and families. We will have shared goals and we will succeed together.
Consideration of Grade and School Outcomes
We focus on school material, our mission is to achieve successful education outcomes and success for students within the classroom. However, if a student needs remedial help to understand current course material, we will address that and will include customized My Math Experts curriculum as part of the student’s learning plan.

My Math Experts raised low achieving math students to levels that were beyond expectation. The students referred by the school were able to return to the math classes that corresponded with their grade levels. The impact the sessions received by the students elevated their confidence in math to a completely new level of accomplishment. As an administrator, I plan to recommend My Math Experts to any student who desires to shore up math gaps, make up math credits, or prepare for math exams. I have definitely noticed an improvement in [Student]’s math recently! She seems to be more confident in the concepts we’re working on, and is making fewer mistakes. She is also participating more in class and scored well on her most recent quiz. Oh, and she is doing amazing with her math facts too! She is the top scoring girl in the entire class with her multiplication fact fluency 🙂

Kevin is an immensely talented teacher, advisor, and coach. For me, he turned math from one of my biggest fears into one of my greatest passions and most valuable skillsets. How does the MME Assessment & Curriculum process work?
Step 1: Pre-Assessment
Our expert tutors administer a pre-assessment for students upon request or upon our recommendation, during the school year. Every summer student completes a pre-assessment.
Once an assessment is completed, an assessment report is generated and sent to the student’s family, along with a list of the topics that they will work on throughout their program, always 1:1 with a certified math teacher.

Step 2: Learning Plan
Based on the results of the student’s pre-assessment, a learning plan is generated that includes material from all of the topics that they got incorrect. This learning plan is what the tutor will work on with the student during their tutoring sessions. Families can opt in to have a physical binder with these materials sent to their student to help them follow along during sessions.

Step 3: Re-Assessment
After the student completes their Learning Plan with an expert, we will re-administer the pre-assessment. This helps us measure and communicate objectively how much a student has learned from their Learning Plan. Families will once again receive these results as an assessment report. Most students will then move on and take another pre-assessment at the next grade level.
