Some of Tim’s previous students have earned perfect scores on the ACT and SAT exams and have attended some of the most prestigious universities in the country, including Harvard and the California Institute of Technology. Outside of academics, Tim is the author of two children’s books and a former professional musician and composer. Since 2013, she has been training and supporting secondary math teachers in East Texas through the Region 7 Education Service Center. She says “Quite a bit has changed since I started teaching in 1983. One thing is constant though, kids are still kids! I have yet to meet a child that could not open a present, each one opens it differently and at different rates. Education is a present, that every child can open.
